How a form works
- Add fields: short or long text, single or multiple choice, a dropdown, a rating, a date, an email or a number.
- Mark the questions people must answer. Add help text and section headers. Use skip logic to send people to the right question.
- Share the link. Each person sees one question on each screen, on a phone or a computer.
- Open your manage link to see a table, a bar chart for each question, and a CSV file to download.
You can also set a close date, set a limit on the number of responses, and send each response to Hooks as JSON. A form takes 10,000 responses in a month. The server deletes it 90 days after the last response.
Questions
What kinds of question can I add?
Short answer, long answer, single choice, multiple choice, dropdown, rating (1 to 5 or 1 to 10), date, email and number. You can mark a question as required, add help text, and add section headers.
Can the form skip questions?
Yes. For a single choice or a dropdown, you can say: if the answer is this, go to that question or section, or end the form. The person never sees the questions they skip.
How do I see the responses?
Open your manage link. You see a table of all responses, a bar chart for each question, and a button to download a CSV file. You can also send each new response to Hooks as JSON.
Can I close the form?
Yes. Set a close date or a response limit when you make the form, or close it by hand at any time with your manage link.
Do I need an account?
No. You make a form and get a link at once. The people who fill it in do not need an account either.
What is the manage link?
When you make a form, you get two links. Share the first link with the people who fill it in. Keep the second link, the manage link, for yourself. With it you see the responses, download them, close the form or delete it.
How long does the form stay?
The server deletes a form and all its responses 90 days after the last response. If nobody answers, it deletes the form 90 days after you made it. You can delete it sooner with your manage link. Read more about privacy.
What may I not ask in a form?
A form must not ask for a password, a card number, a security code or a social security number. Poll refuses a form with these words in a question, a choice or a title. Use a payment page or a secure tool for them.
What are the limits?
Responses for each form in a month: 10,000. Questions in one form: 40. Forms per minute: 10. Forms per day: 50. Days a form stays after its last response: 90. Limits are monitored. They may go up automatically, or on request. To ask for more, write to kamadorueda@gmail.com.
